Comsol releases new network admission control device
Comsol has quickly followed its acquisition of the NetClarity distribution with the release of its first NAC (network admission control) product.
The NetClarity Auditor Branch 50 is the entry device in the company’s comprehensive range, offering full protection for up to 32 IP addresses on a company network.
Auditor Branch complements all existing network defender systems – firewalls, VPNs, SmartSwitches, anti-virus, IDS and IPS.
In a box the size of a paperback, NetClarity delivers full protection form malicious insiders, un-trusted assets, corrupted notebooks and intruding wireless devices.
NetClarity is a patented, streamlined and clientless NAC that efficiently blocks ports and problems, not people and productivity.
Proactive in operation, the Auditor Branch non-invasively audits a network in advance of any hacker, delivering IT and regulatory reports tailored to industry and international standards.
Designed to audit small to medium-sized networks and subnets, the Auditor Branch is powered by a 1.5GHz Eden processor supported by 40Gb of HD storage and 1 Gb of RAM.
Built-in keyboard, video, mouse and serial ports are included for initial set-up along with an internal 10/100 Ethernet controller
NetClarity is simple to implement and compatible with any web browser running HTTPS (SSL) including Opera, Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox.
