For years, Compressed Air Australia has been helping many of its clients save on costly leaks in their compressed air systems. According to Compressed Air Australia, those who use the Ultrasonic Leak Detector (ULD)  need only aim it in the direction of a suspected leak.

With the use of headphones, an audible tone is heard if a leak is present and the built in LED light will light up to confirm the leak location.

Key advantages of using an ultrasonic leak detector includes:
  • detect any pressurised air leak up to 20ft away
  • detects leaks in noisy industrial environments
  • save on wasted compressed air
  • reduce overall operating costs
  • energy savings
Typical applications includes:
  • locating leaks in air, steam and non-flammable gas systems (pipes, fittings, valves, cylinders, pressure vessels)
  • finding the source of bearing and gear wear
  • locating arcing in an electrical system
  • detecting refrigeration and air conditioning system leaks
  • locating leaks in brake systems, tubes, tires, radiators
  • senses cracks in moving rubber v-belts
  • detecting leaks in vacuum systems
  • checking condition of engine seals
The ULD meets ASTM standards and includes accessories to detect leaks in hard to reach areas.
