Existing stairs can be easily upgraded to provide a non slip surface using an FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester) solution.

Stairs made from concrete can have the FRP overlay adhered to them, using a marine grade stickaflex or if a nosing only is required for the stairs then the FRP nosing product for stairs can be used.

Timber stairs can often suffer from wear at the front edge making the leading edge uneven and potentially dangerous.

Applying the FRP overlay to the damaged timber/concrete stair with its bull nose leading edge restores the tread making it non slip and safer than in its original condition.

Stair treads made from steel plate or mesh become slippery from years of use, with a special fixing method the overlay product is retrofitted to the step tread without the need for expensive and time consuming attentions.

FRP Fiberglass Reinforced Polyesters solutions are available from Grating Company.
