Compair Australasia provide manufacturing and distribution services for a range of compressed air and gas systems. The Quantima model of compressors supplied by Compair Australasia provides both environmental benefits and substantial cost savings for industries. Quantima compressors are developed on the basis of the oil-free technology that helps in reducing energy costs by up to 25% and greenhouse emissions by 35%.
Murray Goulburn Co-operative has installed the Quantima system at its Leongatha plant in Victoria and in five months, reduced its energy and maintenance costs by $147,000 and cut carbon emissions by 1900 tonnes. These savings are expected to double in a full year.
According to Compair Australasia’s Managing Director Gary Woodhead, through the use of 300kw Quantima compressors, carbon dioxide emissions can be cut by nearly 2000 tonnes over a period of 10 years.
Quantima’s compression assembly has only one moving part spinning in a magnetic field, providing reduced energy consumption and improved environmental performance. It is more compact and quieter than comparable compressors, and provides variable speed operations without a gearbox or oil.
Quantima’s advances will be outlined at free CompAir business breakfasts in Melbourne, Sydney and Launceston in November, in Brisbane in February 2009, Adelaide in March and Perth and Auckland New Zealand in May.
