Communitech has released new software designed to easily announce emergency and other special announcements over digital signage displays.
Omnivex digital signage software is deployed in airports, universities and public places and now has the added benefit of being able to interrupt normal scheduling and display notices to the public. This feature is a boon to public places, where emergency announcements need to be displayed at short notice.
This innovative software can be setup to display emergency announcements and provide wayfinding and information to the public from the displays.
Omnivex is currently being installed at San Francisco airport, to address a lawsuit that the airport faced about hearing disabled people not being able to obtain information relating to departing flights and specifically urgent notices because they were announced over the public address system. In this court case the airport needed to deploy a visual paging system with the flexibility to address the specific requirements of the lawsuit.
Omnivex digital signage software can be deployed to address emergency and evacuation notices for airports, campuses and public places together with a digital signage system that can integrate with other ODBC accessible databases and provide a seamless and often automatic digital signage system.
Communitech has released a whitepaper titled A Guide to Digital Signage Networks that provides advice on selecting software, hardware and content management for digital signage networks.
