Paint protection available from Colour Shield - Paint Protection Systems

Colour Shield - Paint Protection Systems  offers a range of paint protection systems. These paint protection systems are easy to use.

Depending on the vehicle size, the entire application process can take as little as one hour. The Paint Protection performs well when it is applied in temperatures above 10°C.

The paint protection systems can be applied in three methods. The instructions for application are as follows:

Method 1 - Manual application:

  • Wash vehicle normally to remove all dirt
  • Pour contents of polarising wash solution into 4 litres of hot water and then mix
  • Wash painted/gel coated surfaces with the polarising wash solution
  • Leave the polarising wash solution on the painted/gel coated surfaces until hazy and dry
  • Rinse and wipe off polarising wash solution from applied surfaces until completely removed. Dry with a soft clean cloth or chamois
  • Once the painted/gel coated surfaces are completely dry, move vehicle, boat, or aircraft to a shaded area
  • Apply 2 small coin sized dabs of the paint protection coating to a new foam applicator and apply to 1 square meter section at the time in circular motion and repeat this step until all said surfaces are covered
  • Use a clean cloth or terry cloth to remove hazed paint protection coating at the point you began the application
  • You can also apply a second coat on the horizontal surfaces such as hood and roof. Colour Shield - Paint Protection Systems recommends using a little masking tape on the edge of black rubber or matted surfaces
  • You are done.

Method 1A - manual application (reduced water)

  • Wash vehicle normally to remove all dirt
  • Pour half of the polarising wash solution into 2 litres of hot water and then mix
  • Wipe down the painted/gel coated surfaces with the polarising wash solution
  • Leave the polarising wash solution on the painted/gel coated surfaces until hazy and dry
  • Wash the surfaces with clean water and a clean sponge changing your water a couple of times. Dry with a soft clean cloth or chamois. (See the step one video)
  • Once the painted/gel coated surfaces are completely dry, move vehicle, boat, or aircraft to a shaded area.
  • Apply 2 small coin sized dabs of the paint protection coating to a new foam applicator and apply to 1 square meter section at the time in circular motion and repeat this step until all said surfaces are covered.
  • Use a clean cloth or terry cloth to remove hazed paint protection coating at the point you began the application.
  • You can also apply a second coat on the horizontal surfaces such as hood and roof. Colour Shield - Paint Protection Systems recommends using a little masking tape on the edge of black rubber or matted surfaces
  • You are done

Method 2 - using orbital polisher/buffer

  • Wash vehicle normally to remove all dirt
  • Pour contents of polarising wash solution into approximately 4 litres of hot water then mix
  • Once the painted/gel coated surfaces are completely dry, move vehicle, boat, or aircraft to a shaded area.
  • Apply 2 small coin sized dabs of the Paint Protection Coating to a new De-luxe foam applicator and apply to 1 square meter section at the time in circular motion and repeat this step until all said surfaces are covered.
  • Buff off vehicle with an orbital polisher and a finishing pad, use the machine lower speed setting. (Approximately 1800 RPM)
  • You can also apply a second coat on the horizontal surfaces such as hood and roof. Colour Shield - Paint Protection Systems recommends using a little masking tape on the edge of black rubber or matted surfaces
  • You are done
