releases the new Coates Hire Wagon (CHW) into the Western Australian market.
Designed as a unique, modern and genuine alternative to traditional portable buildings, the Coates Hire wagon was first introduced to customers from the mining and construction sectors in WA at a special event in June, with the latest innovation in portable buildings receiving positive feedback from visitors. Two variants of the wagon were displayed at the event.
The completely self-contained CHW is useful for a variety of applications in the fields of construction, infrastructure, civil, mining and events. Lightweight and easy to set up or transport, the Coates Hire wagon is particularly useful on remote sites with minimal access to amenities, and can withstand the extreme demands of the Australian outback.
The two variants of the CHW are an 8.9m Crib wagon weighing 3500kg and a 5.7m Crib/toilet unit weighing 2700kg. The 5.7m wagon comes complete with a crib room for up to 8 people and a single toilet, and also has its own waste and fresh water tanks in addition to a 9kva generator on board.
Both wagons can be easily towed by a number of light commercial vehicles, offering greater flexibility to operators in transportation. The CHWs also deliver a unique mechanical braking system that eliminates the need for electric brakes to be fitted to the towing vehicle.
