As part of the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements organised by the Federal and State governments, a section of the Warrego Highway was identified as one of the major road infrastructure assets damaged by flooding during 2010 and 2011.
The project, which involves remediating a large stretch of the Warrego highway, was awarded to Probuild Civil, while the main site compound was supplied by Coates Hire.
Coates Hire were also able to supply other resources to assist with traffic control along the highway that included:
- VMS boards
- High powered radios
- Extra lighting towers;and
- Speed restriction signs.
During the Roma flooding which occurred late January 2012, both Probuild Civil & Coates Hire donated large amounts of their time and resources toward assisting the community via emergency traffic control, coordinating supplies and disaster relief activities.
With forty seven branches in Queensland Coates Hire has the varied range and distribution of product that Probuild Civil relies upon to ensure successful completion of their projects, both on time and on budget.
The project is due for completion in June 2012.
