High-definition plasma profile cutting and drilling machine
C-MAC Sheetmetal has replaced its 20-year-old plasma profiling cutting machine and CNC punching machine with a kinetic high-definition plasma profile cutting and drilling machine. The upgrade makes two old, well-used machines redundant and can profile cut-quality components on a single machine.
C-Mac produces general detailed sheetmetal products and projects in one-off or low-volume quantities. The new system offers a 20% saving on components previously profile cut. It requres less handling and drilling of flat bars, RHS and angles as they are now profile cut and if offers a reduction in swarf from drilling operations.
Stainless steel profile cut edges don't have any impurities and can be welded directly without any need for grinding or cleaning up. A relay out of the workshop has provided more floor space and the system can drill holes on large plates and general BHP sections. It has a 6m x 2.5m cutting bed.
