Clarke & Severn Electronics  is a major distributor of high quality specialised electronic components in Australia and New Zealand.

Gowanda Electronics, whose electronic products are distributed by Clarke & Severn Electronics has received another QPL approval, this time for RF thru-hole inductors requiring ‘Established Reliability’ for military applications.

This represents Gowanda’s entrance into Established Reliability products. Such ER approval requires extensive life testing across thermal, electrical, mechanical and environmental test spectrums.

Gowanda’s ER10M and ER17S RF inductors meet MIL-PRF-39010 specifications to failure rate Level M. Life testing is ongoing at Gowanda’s in-house environmental testing lab and will continue until the more demanding failure rate level, Level R is attained.

These new series represent the most reliable off-the-shelf inductors offered in the industry for high-reliability applications. They also demonstrate Gowanda’s ongoing commitment to the development and introduction of QPL products, which address the needs of military and aerospace markets.

ER10M is approved for MIL-PRF-39010 slash 08, 09 and 10. Performance includes: Inductance from .10 uH to 1000 uH; Q Min from 25 to 55; SRF MHz Min from 3.4 to 680; DCR Ohms Max from .08 to 72 and Current Rating DC mA from 28 to 1350.

ER17S is approved for MIL-PRF-39010 slash 01, 02 and 03. Performance includes: Inductance from .10 uH to 1000 uH; Q Min from 40 to 60; SRF MHz Min from 3.8 to 250; DCR Ohms Max from .025 to 17.5 and Current Rating DC mA from 70 to 1790.
