Micos becomes a priority for Cincom
Micos Aluminium, an Australian designer and manufacturer of aluminium doors and windows, has selected the latest version of Cincom’s Priority ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution to better manage its inventory and streamline the procurement process.
Based in Milperra and with a staff of 200, Micos Aluminium specialises in the manufacture and design of unitised curtain walling systems, aluminium windows and doors, shopfronts, and in their acoustic and thermal treatment.
The Cincom Priority application will replace several manual systems, Excel and MYOB, thereby providing a solid information base to support the continuous growth of Micos.
Peter Micos, general manager of Micos Aluminium, said his company had decided on Priority as it would allow greater transparency and control of stock, better management of inventory, and offered the flexibility to add business rules.
“We needed a fully integrated system which could keep track of orders, improve inventory planning, scheduling and load balancing and give us the ability to record and measure actuals against estimates.
“Our business has experienced huge growth in the past 10 years and we want to continue to expand. Priority will give us the ability to manage further growth while allowing staff at all levels to do their job more efficiently and effectively,” he continued.
Paul Hargreaves, managing director of Cincom Australia, said Cincom had always prided itself on having an in-depth understanding of what the customer wanted.
“As our staff have the experience and skills in the manufacturing industry, we have a better understanding of what challenges an organisation is facing and how we can overcome them. Our staff’s breadth of experience, combined with our superior solutions and services, is what sets us apart from many other suppliers.
“We are very excited about our new relationship with Micos and look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
