Charity selects priority software solution
Technical Aid for the Disabled NSW (TAD), a charity organisation that uses volunteers dedicated to the design, construction and provision of aids for people with disabilities, has selected Cincom 's Priority ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to improve its production processes and procedures.
TAD is managed by a Board of Directors and has 18 staff working in the head office housed in the Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney in Ryde. TAD has 12 branches and interest groups throughout New South Wales that are run entirely by local volunteers with the support of Ryde staff.
The Cincom Priority application will replace numerous Excel spreadsheets and Access databases.
Priority will mainly be used for managing the process of producing made-to-order equipment for people with special needs where each item is custom designed and tailored to the individual's requirements. The software will also assist in managing TAD's extensive client network including recording all business processes and procedures to help share valuable information throughout the company.
In the future, Priority will be used to assist in the management of the Computer Loan Service in the use of components from donated computers so they can be given to people with a disability.
Joy Barrett, CEO of TADNSW, said they decided on Priority due to its flexibility, ease of use and extensive functionality.
"One of our main goals is to better manage the transfer of knowledge between people. With Priority we can capture and store that knowledge thereby making it available for people within the organisation to solve complex problems.
"This will help our staff improve the way we allocate and manage individual jobs."
Joy Barrett cited the simplicity of Priority as a major factor in making the implementation and its subsequent application extremely manageable.
"There is no need for additional support staff to manage the software," she says. "Our current IT staff are adequately able to manage the system which results in a better return on our investment."
Paul Hargreaves, Managing Director of Cincom Australia, said he was very pleased that Priority would be able to assist a company with such a worthy cause.
"It gives us great satisfaction to see that our software can help TAD achieve a better quality of life for people with disabilities, through the application of this technology."
