The Bulletin Newspaper located at Molendinar near the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia were experiencing problems with there lower in-feed belts on their “FERAG MTS” stackers.
The belt specified for this application is the “Habasit HNB-8P”.
The Chiorino equivalent for this product is the 2M8 UO-U2 Green which have both suffered delamination in this application because the belt back flexes around a 10mm snub roller.
The “Chiorino NT1” has been applied to this application with success and the customer is fully satisfied with this alternate belt type. It was first thought that the rubber surface of the NT1 would have too much grip on the surface of the paper.
Because the belt is driving in unison with the top belt there is no friction, therefore only positive drive is experienced by the two belts.
