ChemAlert has announced that version 3.2 of the company’s risk management software is just around the corner, with an expected September release date.
The new version features all new functionality and enhancements, many of which have come directly from suggestions made by clients. Other changes have been made to ensure the latest compliance with legislative updates and industry developments.
Version 3.2 of the ChemAlert risk management software will allow users to create their own products in the database, and use them throughout the software. This enhancement applies particularly to users in laboratories, users of confidential products and people mixing custom chemicals.
Once entered, customised products can be utilised in the same way as any product entered by ChemAlert’s team of scientists. Conveniently, custom products can be replaced at any time by a researched and verified ChemAlert report by the team of qualified scientists at the company.
Legislative compliance has been streamlined in the new version of the risk management software, allowing users to search for an updated SDS within a selected date range.
Reporting tools have also been optimised, making tracking dangerous goods and hazardous substances easier.
Several important new report types have been added to the risk management software, which include:
placarding and manifest Reports directly in accordance with Schedule 1 of NOHSC:1015
Major Hazard Facilities (MHF) reports directly accordance with Schedule 1 of NOHSC:1014
site listing reports providing users with a complete listing of all sites contained within a ChemAlert application; and
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) listings to ensure site workers are equipped with the appropriate, recommended PPE.
ChemAlert reports and labels have also been reviewed, with updates providing for the inclusion of more GHS related information on reports, updated PPE graphics that are clearer in their meaning, and new smaller product labels.
Stock management has been simplified in the new version of the risk management software, with the ability to select multiple products when completing tasks such as adding or deleting several products to the register or holdings.
Furthermore, entire stock sites (including holdings) can now be copied and pasted, and entire site trees can now be deleted.
On top of these, and further enhancements, the overall speed and performance of the risk management software has been improved to ensure more efficient operation.
