's wrought iron fencing can create a striking look to any Federation, contemporary or modern style homes as it is available in various styles, to suit decorative and more practical applications.
"The majority of the wrought iron fencing we sell still goes to Federation-style homes; that's the more decorative fencing for a front yard," explains iron fence builder Sam from Traditional Steel Pickets.
"This type of fencing incorporates a lot of scroll work and heritage speartops."
According to Sam, wrought iron fencing is also being used in more modern properties.
"What's been happening in the last couple of years is that a lot of developers are incorporating wrought iron into the newer, contemporary style housing," .
Wrought iron is essentially solid steel, and if it has been through the appropriate treatment process, it tends to have a long life span of 50 to 60 years.
"If wrought iron is not treated properly, it will corrode when it's exposed to the elements. A lot of the tubular products available today are of very high quality steel and are long lasting," said Sam.
