RACK Australia, trading as Century , has released a new storage system for sheet materials - the Sheetmaster. This is the latest addition of the innovative heavy duty Glide-Out racking range, which was designed to increase safety standards and efficiency.
Glide-Out racking was designed for companies requiring safe and efficient storage for heavy and difficult to handle items such as heavy duty dies, mould tools, jigs, fixtures, electric motors and valves. Sheetmaster now offers safe storage and handling of sheet materials with up to 50% or more savings in floor space and reduction in handling times of up to 80%.
Conventional racking systems tend only to use the front of the shelf due to the difficulty in accessing equipment stored at the back; accidents can occur while transferring loads from the rack to a truck. GlideOut racking eliminates this danger and reduces handling problems by giving access from overhead to the shelf area.
Sheetmaster is a modular system and may be added to or adjusted as required. Two types of shelves are available with 63% or 100% extension.
Shelf sizes range from 2m x 1m, up to 4m x 2m as standard. Shelves can be also be vertically adjusted for maximum use of space.
Rack Australia will be exhibiting the Glide-Out racking range at AusPlas 26-29 September 2005 (stand 112) in Melbourne and at the Safety Show 26-28 October 2005 (stand A34 - trading as Century) in Sydney.
