With CALYPSO measuring software, Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology has been offering advanced software for coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for quite some time.
The CALYPSO measuring software allows operators to use a modern, common software platform that ensures the compatibility of Zeiss and non-Zeiss measuring machines.
Articulated arms and laser trackers have been in high demand in coordinate metrology for several years. They permit quick in-between measurements from different production steps. This requires seamless compatibility of the measuring technology and measuring software.
Carl Zeiss has therefore developed interfaces to enable a direct connection of non-Zeiss manual and CNC coordinate measuring machines to CALYPSO.
Measuring runs generated in CALYPSO can be effectively used on a wide range of measuring machines and in different areas.
A measuring program created offline with CALYPSO, for example, can be used to manually measure unfinished parts. Subsequently, the same program can be used on a CNC coordinate measuring machine for an acceptance test measurement of the finished part.
CALYPSO can be used with manual machines and articulated arms from FARO, CimCore and Romer, as well as laser trackers.
With CNC systems, CALYPSO is ideal for products from Brown&Sharpe, DEO, Sheffield, (Hexagon) Coord 3, Wenzel, Mora and Renishaw.
