Car-O-Liner Australia’s Car-O-Tronic Vision is a computerised measuring system.

In 2007, Car-O-Liner Australia announced Vision’s retrofit compatibility with competitor’s alignment benches, giving any hesitant prospective users a great reason to upgrade to the Car-O-Liner offering.

This year, Julie Thomas, Car-O-Liner’s managing director, announced the company’s upgrade trade-in program. “We will pay our customers for their old measuring systems, for both hardware and software, when they upgrade to our current line of Vision products,” she explained.

In fact, the trade-in program also applies to non Car-O-Liner systems and new more competitive pricing makes an upgrade even more affordable.

Vision’s features include a measuring slide with sensors in each joint (and a measuring head underneath) which wirelessly communicate real-time measurement data three times a second. A built-in remote control capability allows the user to manage the entire measuring process, without having to be in front of a computer.

Easy to use, the user works with only two buttons - one to enter commands such as automatic measurement of the entire vehicle and another a select button, to browse through monitor menus.

Measuring is as easy as 1-2-3: first the work order is registered, with car make and model entered, measurement is conducted with the aid of Automatic Search Point (ASP) function and finally the results are printed out.

Advanced automation allows the system to select the right measurement points in the vehicle. Rubber-protected bumper-zones around key areas protect the measurement slide, as well as vehicles from dents or scratches.

The Car-O-Tronic Vision is greatly expanded with the upgraded Vision X3 software, which features a worldwide VIN decoding system with the largest vehicle database on the market today.

“With all these features,” Thomas concluded, “it’s worth your readers taking a serious look at upgrading to Vision, whilst our trade-in program is still on.”
