has announced that in order to support the growing industrial and mining customer base in the state, it has promoted John Strudwick to the role of Queensland Sales Manager.
Strudwick brings more than 28 years experience in the industry with him to the new role, and will, the company states, be a valuable resource for his customers as he guides them in designing and implementing the most effective and efficient compressed air systems.
Strudwick started his professional career as a sales representative, continuing to hone his skills over the years working with several compressor brands that have been sold in Australia. After moving across to sales management roles with different companies, he joined CAPS in 2010 to work with the company's large number of wholesale accounts.
The main challenge in the next year or two, Strudwick believes, will be the demand for skilled tradesmen by the burgeoning mining sector.
"It may become necessary to recruit service technicians and sales engineers from outside the industry,” he said.
Queensland is a growing market for CAPS, and forms part of a national network of nine offices.
