The manufacturing division of Caps Australia (CAPS) has produced a skid-mounted compressor package for the Makori GPF project in Pakistan. The large packaged skid will support a major natural gas project and help provide energy to thousands of homes and businesses across Pakistan.
Designed to be a self-contained system, the packaged skid produced by CAPS can be delivered on-site and is ready to operate once all the external connections are secured.
The CAPS manufacturing teams in Perth collaborated with the client on the design, construction, testing and delivery of the project. Kumar Arik, a Perth-based Project Engineer with CAPS had overall responsibility for the global assignment, and ensured that CAPS achieved excellent project management and build quality to supply a world class solution to an important international client.
With a length of 9 metres and width of 2.2 metres, the skid consisted of two Ingersoll Rand oil free rotary screw compressors and two desiccant dryers. These compressed air components were mounted with all associated filtration and ancillary equipment, and the whole package delivered to the end customer had an overall mass of more than 10 tonnes.
According to Arik, the all-Australian CAPS engineering and manufacturing teams deserve the highest commendation for the successful completion of this challenging project.
