SALA, a division of the Capital Safety Group (Australia) Pty Ltd , has released their new Kernmantle rope lanyard range.
The AS/NZS 1891.1 standards approved Kernmantle rope lanyard range has been developed to provide a superior shock absorbing rope lanyard suitable for use in all kinds of industrial environments.
"Rope used in fall arrest applications must live up to a higher standard than everyday rope," explains Technical Manager for the Capital Safety Group in Australia and New Zealand, Rick Millar.
"As a result, the Kernmantle rope used in the lanyards construction provides a more durable and robust lanyard that is easier to control than the standard rope or webbing lanyards."
The Kernmantle rope is highly resistant to the elements and offers a multitude of benefits. The ropes protective outer sheath delivers a greater resistance to minor cuts, abrasions, chemicals and grime, as well as providing heat resistance.
The rope is less likely to fray or snag, it resists knotting and twisting, and totally removes the risk of bird caging.
The range is available in both single and double tail variants with a variety of end connectors and harness attachment points to suit specific user needs and applications.
