DBI-SALA, a Capital Safety brand solely dedicated to the fall protection market, has announced the launch of their NEW Miner’s fall protection range. Body belts such as miner’s belts & rigging belts having been removed from the standard are no longer supplied with a certification mark, as a result, Capital Safety through the DBI-SALA brand have developed a new range of miner’s harnesses for workers/sites that require a conformance mark and are required to work in restraint and/or fall arrest. The new products consist of the Mine Utility range, the ExoFit XP Miners Harness and the Delta Miners Harness. Each product has been specifically designed for the mining industry to provide a safe, simple and highly functional harness and belt combination designed to cover all mining applications.
The Mine Utility Range incorporates a specially designed Mine Utility Belt. The Mine Utility Belt is available as a separate unit, however the ExoFit XP Riggers Utility Harness has been specifically designed to accommodate the belt with ease and is constructed with all the features of the ExoFit XP range. This harness is also available in the popular Delta variety.
The ExoFit XP and Delta Miners Harnesses incorporate an integral miner’s belt and delivers all the features and benefits that the trusted ExoFit XP and Delta range have to offer. The ExoFit XP Miners Harness is recommended for users who are in a harness for a major part of their day and demand superior comfort, along with added features and functionality. The Delta Miners Harness is ideal for infrequent users requiring a basic yet functional harness and belt combination.
All the miner’s harnesses meet the strict requirements of the new AS/NZS 1891.1:2007 standard, are equipped with suspension trauma straps and are i-Safe enabled. DBI-SALA’s i-Safe intelligent safety system is built into every harness to track inspections, control inventory and manage information. i-Safe utilises RFID equipped fall protection equipment combined with web enabled information management to provide fall protection with a high level of performance and safety.
