Capital Safety Australia presents a new fall protection range designed specifically for use in welding applications.
Capital Safety’s new Protecta Kevlar Pro Welders Range is a specialist line of fall protection equipment consisting of a harness and six shock absorbing lanyard models, all designed to resist fire and sparks.
Capital Safety’s new Pro Welders Range covers the majority of ‘Hot Work’ applications typically seen in high temperature work environments. The Kevlar construction is tough and durable, provides protection against heat, flame and cuts, ensuring safety in high heat environments.
The Pro range is ideal for use in Hot Work applications such as welding, flame cutting and grinding, where sparks and slag can easily compromise standard polyester webbing harnesses and lanyards. The Kevlar equipment offers resistance against extreme heat, cuts and abrasions, while the lanyards have the capacity to carry the combined body weight of workers complete with tools and equipment from 50kg to 160kg.
Rick Millar, Technical Manager for Capital Safety, Australia and New Zealand explains that the Pro range utilises Kevlar thread in its harness and lanyard stitching, while a removable Kevlar cover protects the lanyard’s shock pack casing. The Pro range also simplifies inspection.
The Pro Welders Range from Capital Safety provides value for money compliant fall protection safety harnesses and lanyards for use in hot work environments.
