Capital Safety , home of the DBI-SALA and PROTECTA fall protection brands, have recently opened a warehouse for improved inventory support for its New Zealand customer base.
The warehouse will provide improved delivery efficiencies and stock availability for all major distributors and end users in New Zealand.
“New Zealand customers want access to the best fall protection products and they deserve to be able to get them quickly, arriving in premium condition with maximum inventory support,” says Richard Drane, Operations Manager for Capital Safety, Australia and New Zealand.
“We set about putting in place a warehouse management program to maximize this service performance,” adds Drane.
Capital Safety will also be launching the ‘Velocity Ship’ Program in New Zealand in early 2010. This system allows New Zealand customers to place an order for any Velocity Ship product before 12 noon, and Capital Safety will guarantee dispatch the same day, or the product will be delivered freight free.
There are some terms and conditions around this delivery promise, however the program has enabled the business to achieve a DIFOT (Delivered In-Full, On-Time) rate exceeding 97% in Australia for some time.
