DBI-SALA, a Capital Safety brand, have launched a new Mastsayf flexible cable system. The Mastsayf flexible cable system provides safety for workers who need to climb towers in the energy and utilities industry. The system offers hands-free operation and fall protection allowing users to ascend or descend without restrictions, providing freedom of movement and productivity.
According to Capital Safety, the Mastsayf flexible cable system’s sleeve or the connecting device that attaches to the front fall arrest D-ring of the users full body harness and the lifeline has a swivel that provides hands-free operation while limiting free falls to a maximum of 600mm. If a user falls, the sleeve immediately locks down onto the system’s cable and arrests the fall.
The Mastsayf flexible cable system has been designed for easy installation and is suitable for use as either a permanent or temporary climbing system. The Mastsayf flexible cable system can be easily removed and re-installed on other towers as required. The system’s design makes installation to any tower quick and easy. There is no drilling or welding required, as the design utilises the tower leg and climbing bolts to provide a fall protection solution for tower workers.
