CN3 is the new in Intermec’s rugged industrial series of mobile computers. Boasting a wide array of improvements over the previous CN2 series the CN3 exists within a thinner, lighter form factor as well as bringing more a powerful mobile computing solution, right into the palm of user’s hand.
Standard features such as the 520MHz Intel processor, 128 MB of RAM, expandable SD Card Slot , 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth and a 1.3 Megapixel camera can be augmented by the choice of a network independent Global Positioning System receiver and WWAN voice and data services (including 3G EV-DO or EDGE).
A barcode scanner can also be installed in place of the camera.
These characteristics enable companies to stay connected with their mobile workforce in real time, increasing asset visibility across their operations.
The CN3 also runs Windows Mobile 5.0 which supports direct-push wireless email for connectivity with corporate networks.
The addition of an extended battery adds over 6 hours to the already long 8 hours of operation that the standard battery offers, while only increasing the handhelds overall dimensions by 5mm and 50 grams.
Capacity Systems expects to sell many of these units as part of a total mobile computing solution across a myriad of industries with strong sales likely in the areas of logistics, supply chain management, mobile van sales and warehousing solutions.
