CANON has added a 28 page per minute (ppm) digital black and white printer/copier to its mid-range imageRUNNER lineup. The iR2800 gives low to mid volume users high end features in a compact machine, and full expandability to add extra features as and when needed.
High end features include full booklet finishing; trayless duplexing; multi-position stapling and hole punch; 4,550 sheet capacity and a high 2400x600dpi resolution output quality.
The Canon iR2800 joins both the 22 ppm iR2200 and the 33 ppm iR3300, all offering multiple finishing options, from simple sorting and collating to advanced V-folded and saddle stitch booklet making. This provides total in-house production and online management of professional looking documents.
Additional features include the ability to scan documents into its internal 6GB internal image server, and store data in any of 100 confidential mailboxes.
The base model iR2800 features can be enhanced quickly and simply to enable network printing, Super G3 fax capabilities, network scanning and on-line finishing such as envelope printing. Offering ‘future proofing’, all of these modules can be added as and when required.
Benchmark features include a robust 6GB hard drive with 128MB RAM memory as standard; enhanced optional network connectivity; extensive Job Build functions; 100 confidential user mailboxes; 300 department ID codes; scan once print many (SOPM); On-Demand Fusing Technology; and Super G3 fax capability.
Trayless duplexing ensures double-sided output is produced at rated engine speed, maintaining the iR2800’s high speed as well as reducing paper consumption. An envelope feeder attachment is available for high volume envelope printing environments.
With a rated monthly output capability of up to 40,000 sheets, the iR2800 has one of the smallest footprints in its class, the base model taking up just 565mm x 678mm of floor space. Canon Australia 02 9805 2000.
