The CR3000 data logger from Campbell Scientific Aust is suitable for industry users needing a rugged, reliable data logger. The CR3000 unit has been designed using new measurement and control technology.
The CR3000 data logger supports both CRBASIC programming language and PakBus communication protocols, providing 2M of FLASH memory for the operating system and 4M of battery backed SRAM for CPU usage, program storage and data storage. Data storage can be increased by using a CompactFlash card.
Users of the logger can take advantage of the inbuilt two line graphical display and keypad, allowing for easy viewing of both real time and historical data, editing of programs and command entries, all on-site.
For long term unattended deployment, extensive telemetry options are available for transferring data from the logger to the user’s PC.
The CR3000 data logger includes all the standard ports of a Campbell Scientific Aust logger such as CSI/O, RS-232 and a 40-pin Compact Flash Module port. With a scan rate of 100Hz (in burst mode), the 28 single - ended or 14 differential analogue inputs are complemented by four pulse counters and 8 control/digital I/O ports, with many more channels than its smaller sister logger, the CR1000.
The CR3000 data logger has twice the accuracy, eight times the resolution and up to four times the processing speed than that of the CR1000 data logger. The extra processing speed also means that the unit is suitable for many eddy covariance systems.
The data logger unit has a standard operating range of -25°C to +50°C and is available with a sealed rechargeable battery base, alkaline base or a low profile version without batteries.
