A NEW range of CSR-based Bluetooth modules are now available in Australia and New Zealand from Caelera . With more than 50% global market share, CSR is recognised as the market leader for Bluetooth solutions.
Its BlueCore ICs are widely used in mobile phones, headsets, personal computers, in-car communication systems and PC peripherals.
With the HSM3.0 Bluetooth modules, customers can now obtain fully-integrated, easy-to-use Bluetooth solutions designed to meet application-specific needs.
Each module includes a complete embedded Bluetooth protocol stack, application-specific profiles, a high-level command interpreter that supports a proprietary command set which effectively eliminates the need for Bluetooth expertise.
Additionally, having the entire Bluetooth stack and profiles run in the module, and not the host processor, greatly reduces (or eliminates) resource requirements on the host processor.
The HSM3.0 is based on CSR's BlueCore3-Multimedia; a single chip radio and baseband IC for Bluetooth 2.4GHz systems, with an onchip DSP and a stereo codec.
It is fully compliant to Bluetooth V2.0 specifications and includes CSR's echo and noise cancellation software, CVC.
The 17.6mm x 24mm surface mount module comes with HS, HF, A2D, AVRC profile support and is targeted at stereo headphones, portable audio devices, automotive hands-free kits, and high performance telephony headset markets.
Evaluation boards are available for product development.
