CADD Systems , a Perth-based provider of computer aided design solutions, says AutoCAD 2004, due for release in March, is set to deliver significant new and enhanced functionality.
Technical director Carl Frischmuth says while AutoCAD 2002 already enables users to create, view, manage, and share accurate, information-rich drawings, AutoCAD 2004 is the fastest and easiest AutoCAD release.
The makers of AutoCAD, Autodesk, claim AutoCAD 2004 will allow users to create with speed, share with ease, and manage with efficiency. New and enhanced features will enable design professionals to:
* Create design data more quickly - with customisable tool pallettes, an optimised file format, direct access to design content libraries, enhanced multi-line text editing and Express Tools.
* Share design data more easily - with digital signatures, password protection, and enhanced DWF files.
* Manage software more efficiently - with the Autodesk Product Manager and FlexIm Network Licence Manager.
According to Frischmuth, with new productivity tools, an improved user interface, and better presentation graphics for faster, more productive data creation, AutoCAD 2004 looks set to further strengthen the position of AutoCAD as the 2D drafting, detailing, and 3D design tool.
