The disposal of tankered septic tank wastes at sewage plants has always been a problem. Contra Shear Technology has supplied one of its first septic tanker receival station to Wide Bay Water.
This complete package including flowmeter, control valve, fully automated controller and self contained screen, allows the council to control and measure the discharges to their sewage plant.
The tanker connects to the system using a standard Kamlock fitting, but before the plant can be operated and the tanker be discharged, a unique access code is required. This allows any discharge to be measured and accurately charged to the tanker operator. All material above 5mm is removed and dewatered before the filtrate flows to the sewage plant inlet. The system is designed to allow the tankers to discharge within 20 to 30 minutes.
