Contra Shear Technology changes names to CST Wastewater Solutions

Contra Shear Technology  is expanding its industrial and municipal services and technologies from a new headquarters established in Sydney.

The company has also changed its name to CST Wastewater Solutions to reflect its expanded scope as it moves to its new combined office and warehouse in Roseville.

CST Wastewater Solutions’ Managing Director, Michael Bambridge, says the new facilities will help the company broaden its industrial and municipal services and equipment focus, while retaining the full range of mechanical and process technologies.

“Using our new facilities we will build on our reputation for customer-responsive, rapid and flexible packaged wastewater solutions for projects ranging from small individual plants to complete industrial estates and mining developments. We will also extend our anaerobic and aerobic wastewater treatment technologies focused on industries such as the food and beverage, chemical, pulp and paper and primary industries.

“Through our representation of market leading partners such as Global Water Engineering (GWE), we will further the trend toward smaller environmental footprints and conversion of industries from large energy consumers to net producers.” GWE has more than 200 plants worldwide, with clients including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Carlsberg, Heineken, SAB Miller and Lion Nathan.

CST is a member of the Global Water and Energy Alliance, a group of select companies around the world committed to providing solutions in water and wastewater treatment for the recovery of green energy and water.

The company’s robust network of partners includes Smith and Loveless, a water and wastewater pumping and treatment organisation, and Berson UVtechniek, a leader in UV disinfection for water reuse.

CST recently acquired the exclusive Australian distribution of Berson In-Line UV disinfection systems used for the treatment of water and effluent for re-use in applications ranging from industrial and municipal to irrigation.

CST’s broad range of proprietary wastewater treatment equipment – which is manufactured to ISO9001 and EEC standards of safety and design – includes water and wastewater screening; grit removal and dewatering; septic receival stations; dissolved air flotation; sedimentation systems and clarifiers; shaftless conveyors; sludge dewatering; lime handling; and silo systems; continuous sand filters; microfilters and screens solar-powered circulation; uv disinfection; ozone treatment and anaerobic treatment.

The company also provides expert assistance with equipment and system selection, design, installation and maintenance, as well as operation of wastewater treatment systems and delivery of complete packaged plants.
