A new-look beverage tray from CHEP Australia is opening up a reusable retail ready solution to the complete beverage supply chain.
CHEP’s new retail beverage trays are designed to hold all types of soft drink bottles in capacities of 1.25L, 1.5L, 2.0L and 2.25L. Designed by Finland’s K. Hartwall, the new beverage tray is backed by seven years of development and 12 months of testing in collaboration with stakeholders across the beverage supply chain.
CHEP Customer Programs Manager, Annette Arzoumanian explains that the new retail beverage trays provide an opportunity for a fully integrated supply chain approach to retailing carbonated soft drinks.
The new CHEP beverage trays complement the multi-purpose beverage trays launched in 2009 to carry 1.25L soft drink bottles and 2.0L juice bottles in CHEP’s reusable retail ready category.
Similar to the existing range, the new CHEP retail beverage trays are modular to the plastic display pallets and the standard Australian timber pallets. When used together, the trays and display pallets become a one-touch solution that can be packed on-line by a manufacturer, shipped through the supply chain and wheeled onto the retail floor ready to be shopped.
According to Ms Arzoumanian, the new CHEP retail beverage tray will enable even more beverage manufacturers to streamline their processes and increase efficiencies since it can take all variants of soft drink bottles.
Retailers also stand to benefit from CHEP’s new product offering as the beverage trays with their innovative point-of-sale look and ability to cover all bottle variants can help the product stand out on the retail floor and improve sales. Additionally, the retail ready solution eliminates the need for retailers to handle perforated packaging or manage cardboard waste.
CHEP’s existing multi-purpose beverage trays have been recognised nationally for their value as a sustainable packaging solution. The new CHEP retail beverage trays offer manufacturers and retailers the same opportunity by reducing one-way packaging.
