CHEP Australia was recently honoured by the Australian Packaging Covenant with the High Performers Award in the Small to Medium Packaging Manufacturer category. CHEP received the award in recognition of its commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) Awards recognise the accomplishments of companies in packaging product stewardship through their commitment and involvement in the APC.
CHEP was also named the ‘Top Collector’ for collecting the most mobile phones and accessories through the MobileMuster program.
Explaining that the awards acknowledge the work of their high performing signatories, APC CEO Stan Moore notes that the APC high performers are leading the way in packaging sustainability and innovation, proving that innovation and sustainability make good business sense, create opportunities for better employee and supply chain engagement, and provide a competitive advantage.
According to CHEP’s Manager, Sustainability Programs Nicole Boyd, as an equipment pooling company, CHEP is totally focussed on sustainability with the company committed to reducing single use packaging from the supply chain.
She adds that CHEP is a voluntary member of the APC, enabling the company to work with like-minded organisations to improve supply chain sustainability in a collaborative environment.
