Materials handling solutions offered by CEVA Pallecon
CEVA Pallecon provide materials handling solutions through a range of plastic folding CEVAbins, plastic fruit bins and hazardous substance handling products. Brisbane based food ingredients manufacturer, Food Spectrum, are one of the CEVA Pallecon customers to introduce the new plastic folding CEVAbin to their supply chain. Food Spectrum use CEVA Pallecon’s liquid IBC's for the movement of honey and other products.
Following a successful trial, Food Spectrum placed their initial order to use CEVAbins to transfer ingredients from their plant to one of their key customer Mrs. Crockets, who is a manufacturer and national supplier of freshly prepared and pre-packaged salads to the retail market.
To efficiently manage the movement of equipment between multiple locations both Food Spectrum and Mrs Crockets are using Pallecon's PalDirect, a web-based transfer system to help control the flow of bins. A closed loop, permanent hire loop exists for the issue and return of empty units between both these users in Brisbane. Food Spectrum also hires bins in Queensland that are later transferred to and de-hired by Mrs. Crockets distribution centre in Laverton, Victoria.
