Enerpac’s Power-packed Aluminium Cylinders Offer Easy Transport And Use
Product/Service Name
Enerpac, has announced its most comprehensive and advanced new ranges ever of lightweight high-pressure hydraulic cylinders for Australia and New Zealand.
The 700 bar (10,000psi) cylinders – contained in its new E325A catalogue – are available in capacities from 20-150 tons, strokes from 50-250 mm and capacity-to-weight ratios typically twice those of conventional steel alternatives.
Function/ApplicationsFeaturing the latest alloy technology, high strength coatings, seal design and bearing materials, the new ranges are designed to provide outstanding force with the light weight, transportability and easy positioning of aluminium. The ranges include:
•Single-acting, spring return RAC series, which weigh from 3.6-4.7kg kg
for 20-ton models, through to a maximum of 36.3 kg for 150-ton models.
Frequently used in workshops, fabrication and manufacturing applications, Enerpac’s ranges of single-acting, spring return cylinders are one of the most widely used ranges in Australasia. Some cylinders, hand pumps and valves are available with Viton seals for use in extreme environments.
•Single-acting RACL Lock Nut cylinders in capacities from 50-150 tons.
Typically used for heavyweight construction and resource industry surface tasks, Lock Nut cylinders employ hydraulic control and precision for lifting, then secure loads mechanically with a lock nut mechanism designed for robust simplicity.
•Hollow Plunger RACH cylinders from 20-100-ton capacities. Often used for
tensioning and testing applications, the hollow plunger design allows for both pull and push forces to be exerted. Cylinder weights extend from 5.2-46.2kg.
•Double-acting RAR series cylinders, with powered extension and
retraction of cylinder plungers. Available in 50-150 ton capacities, with strokes from 50-200mm, the cylinders also weigh less than half their steel equivalents, ranging from 11.1 to 33.2kg.
Differentiating FeaturesThe latest Enerpac cylinders are made from 707ST-6 alloy, with composite bearings on all moving surfaces to guarantee no metal-to-metal contact, to resist side loads and extend cylinder life.
Removable steel base plates and hardened saddles resist wear caused by use on concrete and other abrasive surfaces.
Complementing the high power-to weight ratios of the new cylinders are Enerpac’s lightweight hand pumps, models P-392 or P-802, which are constructed of composite materials including aluminium to comprise the optimum lightweight pump and cylinder set. The cylinders can also be powered by fast-acting Enerpac electric, air and petrol pumps.
The lightweight cylinders possess all the versatility and durability that have made Enerpac the world's largest high force tool specialist, but are particularly useful on remote sites or on jobs where cylinders have to be moved from job to job.
