CAC Gas & Instrumentation offers the ODFR-1001 on demand flow regulators specially designed for use with gas detection devices and docking stations with internal pumps.
CAC Gas warns that gas detection instruments with internal pumps should not be used with a standard pressure regulator. When a positive pressure regulator is used on a gas detection instrument with a pump, both the sensors and the pump are pressurised potentially rupturing the diaphragm of the pump.
Pressure regulators force gas into the sensor capillary at a higher than normal rate if the positive pressure from the gas flow is not sufficiently relieved, causing the response of the sensor to be artificially high during calibration with the final response reduced after calibration.
The ODFR-1001 on demand flow regulators are designed to provide the exact amount of gas required by the gas detection instrument pump, eliminating the need for gas sample bags, flow meters or special tubing assemblies.
