BURKERT Fluid Control Systems has released version A.03.05.02 of a universal software program that communicates with its full range of mass flow meters and controllers. The software is downloadable from the technical data section of www.burkert.com and contains a full manual.
The user can make full use of all standard features that are built into the company’s mass flow meters and controllers. These standard features include calibration for two gases or measured ranges without loss of accuracy or repeatability. They also offer two limits to each parameter: measured value, setpoint and valve position (detect disrupted flow or filter starting to block.
The system offers free and independent setting of input and output signal (0V-5V/0V-10V, 0mA-20/4-20mA). Binary inputs can be assigned to auto-tune, second calibrated gas, reset totaliser, open valve 100%, close valve 0%, and safety status active (where the setpoint becomes the valve position control).
The binary outputs (relays) can be connected to any of features mentioned above. The indicator LEDs can be configured to show what is happening. The software has a dynamic reading mode to monitor the input, output and valve position while commissioning the instrument or application. The software also has a monitoring and logging feature with export to Excel.
