BURKERT Fluid Control Systems has launched a new range of positive displacement flow meters, which expands its offering to encompass a greater range of flow solutions.
The new Type SO70 positive displacement flow fitting and Type 8071 positive displacement low flow sensor are designed for closed pipe systems to control viscous fluids such as glues, fats, honey or oils and will handle viscosities up to one million centipoise.
The SO70 is an oval gear flow fitting that connects to a number of Hall effect or reed switch sensors and offers better than plus or minus 0.5 per cent of reading accuracy and high repeatability.
The Type 8071 sensor incorporates a non-intrusive Hall effect sensor, has only two moving parts, and offers better than plus or minus one percent of reading accuracy over low flow rates from two litres/hr upwards.
The positive displacement sensor is available in aluminium, stainless steel and PPS bodies and gear options are stainless, steel, PPS and special rotors for viscosities greater than 2000 centipoise.
These flowmeters can easily be connected to the existing range of Burkert flow transmitters and batch controllers, complementing the paddlewheel flow technology for flow and batch control.
Along with Burkert's 'quarter turn click on' philosophy, the full range of innovative transmitters, batch control and on/off systems may be utilised with the new PD meter.
