Burkert Fluid Control Systems  has appointed Pacific Rim Technical Services (PRTS) as its distributor for North Queensland.

With this appointment, Burkert is maximising its ability to provide process solutions in key markets such as oil and gas, mining, sugar, food and beverage as well as water treatment.

Founded more than 20 years ago as an engineering consultancy and distributor of high quality instrumentation and control equipment to the local sugar and mining industries, the Townsville-based PRTS has since then grown considerably, establishing itself as a leading local distributor and preferred supplier partner.

The new distribution partnership with Burkert coincides with PRTS’ move into newer and larger premises, which will give the company ample scope to expand its activities.

Managing Director of PRTS, Greg Fitzgerald explains that the distribution agreement with Burkert creates a win-win situation for all, facilitating local partnership, service and responsiveness for NQ businesses, backed by the resources of an international company.

Headquartered in Townsville, PRTS serves the coastal and inland NQ region with a team of three sales engineers, all of whom will be actively selling Burkert products.

Extending his welcome to Greg and the PRTS team, Burkert Managing Director Chris Hoey notes that the complementary expertise of each company makes the distributor alliance an ideal fit for serving this key market.

Burkert Fluid Control Systems specialises in the supply of German manufactured fluid control products and also manufactures a comprehensive range of automation equipment for integration into process control solutions.
