BULK Handling Australia (BHA) will be displaying a broad range of container systems, from its tried and tested Atlas and Alpal ranges, to the new Combo Life CL285 and Xytec 4840.
The Atlas container system is a low cost alternative for the easy movement and storage of bulk materials. Taking only two minutes to erect it can carry up to 1200L of liquids or solids
By combining the features of a bulk bag and a rigid container, BHA bills Atlas as one of the most flexible semi bulk systems available.
Some features include: a light weight of 15kg; 20 filled units per container(20,000L) and 200 empty units per container for return; stacking up to three high; single use or reusable; and with addition of a lifting loop option it can be hoisted to empty from underneath.
The Alpal container system is used for the easy movement and storage of bulk bag material. Taking only three minutes to rig, the simple system provides a total packaging and warehouse solution, combining the features of pallets into a flexible semi-bulk system.
When packed down, the unit is only 170mm high and 240 will fit into a 20' container (400 plus in a 40 footer). When packed, at 1150mm high, 20 will fit into the same container thus providing the ease of quick pallet loading with the safety of racking, while saving space when not in use.
The height of the unit can be tailored to specific applications by simply changing the pole height. Standard base dimensions are 1150mm x 1150mm.
The Xytec line of collapsible pallet containers, manufactured in 32"x30", 48"x40", 48"x45" standard footprints and extended length or height configurations, fills a wide array of applications that range from assembly in the automotive industry to small machine parts and raw materials.
According to BHA, several features make the Xytec 4840 container an excellent choice for racking systems. These include its standard footprint size, base edges that slide on support rails and a base free of centre leg for unobstructed handling.
CL285 is a reusable, collapsible intermediate bulk container manufactured using the latest technology in plastic. The result is an innovative packaging solution for bulk liquids and other heavy products that, according to BHA, offers unmatched performance in all kinds of distribution networks including truck, rail, sea container and break-bulk ships.
Containers are made of food-grade plastic and have completely smooth surfaces to satisfy the strictest hygienic standards.
BULKEX 2006 Bulk Materials Handling Exhibition will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from September 25-27.
