Bud-Pak  supply drum fillers as a part of a new drum filling and packaging line for Cargill’s Kooragang Island plant in Newcastle. The Accupak twin head drum filler is designed for filling non-foaming products and will be used for filling two 20 litre drums of vegetable oil concurrently.

The FFS225 drum filler is a two speed filler and is totally electronic from the load cells to the weigh indicator, which allows seamless interfacing with on-site computer management systems. The filler moves in two directions, left to right utilising spherical type bearings, and in/out direction through the top slide arrangement which is fitted with ceramic linear bearings running on a hardened and ground stainless steel shaft.

Individual brakes are fitted to lock the drum fillers moving boom and filling head in any position during or after the filling process. Nozzles are supplied to suit the drum size and each is fitted with a wiper ring and drip cup preventing container contact with the product.

Bud-Pak will be supplying, installing and commissioning equipment for the entire liquid filling and packaging line, including:

  • drum and carton fillers
  • closing equipment
  • metal detection system
  • robot palletiser
  • stretch wrapper
  • conveyors
  • carton erectors
  • carton sealers
  • ink-jet coders

Bud-Pak is a well-known name in filling equipment and have hundreds of bagging, filling, palletising and stretch wrapping installations throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific.
