Bud-pak supply liquid filling systems as part of a new drum and bag-in-box filling line for Cargill’s Kooragang island plant in Newcastle. The Accupak liquid filling systems are designed for filling non-foaming products and are suitable for Cargill’s need to fill two 20 litre drums of vegetable oil concurrently.
The FFS225 liquid filling systems utilise twin filling heads operation at two speeds with filling control being fully electronic, which allows seamless interfacing with on-site computer management systems. The filler moves in two directions, left to right utilising spherical type bearings, and in/out direction through the top slide arrangement, which is fitted with ceramic linear bearings running on a hardened and ground stainless steel shaft.
The liquid filling systems feature individual brakes to lock the moving boom and filling heads in any position during or after the filling process. Nozzles are supplied with the liquid filling systems to suit the drum size and each is fitted with a wiper ring and drip cup preventing container contact with the product.
In addition to liquid filling systems, Budpak will supply, install and commission equipment for the entire liquid filling and packaging line, including:
- drum and carton fillers
- closing equipment
- metal detection system
- robot palletiser
- stretch wrapper
- carton erectors
- carton sealers
- ink-jet coders
