Bud-Pak have installed a compact pallet stretch wrapper at Cotton Seed Distributors’ new Westbrook plant. The Technipes pallet stretch wrapper is suitable for applications with limited space due to its rotating turntable with a static wrapping arm which requires less space than other stretch wrapper designs.
A loaded pallet is placed onto the Technipes PR-1 pallet stretch wrapper’s turntable which then rotates while the reel-carrying roller holding the stretch wrap is raised and lowered vertically to ensure a tight wrap is achieved. This pallet stretch wrapper is suitable only for stable bags (weighing more than 20kg) because the centrifugal force originated by rotation to the central axis tends to cast light bags outwards. Technipes also manufactures a full range of pallet stretch wrappers utilising the rotating arm principle but this design of stretch wrapper inherently requires a larger working area.
The Technipes PR-1 pallet wrapper has an integrated top sheet applicator that fits a protective top sheet to the pallet for complete weatherproofing from the elements and is part of a turnkey supply for bagging, palletising and pallet stretch wrapping equipment as won by tender.
