Bulk bag fillers
Bulk bag fillers

Two bulk bag fillers, available from Bud-Pak , were exported to the Democratic Republic of Congo for filling bulk bags at a new tailings re-treatment facility. The bulk bag fillers will be used for filling FIBCs with cobalt hydroxide with bulk bag placement and removal being manually performed by the operator.

The supply of the bulk bag fillers includes operator platforms around the filling and closing stations complete with safety handrails and steps to facilitate bulk bag placement, removal and closure. The bulk bag fillers were designed to operate at production rates of 10 x 1000kg bags per hour and 5 x 2200kg bags per hour.

The supply of the bulk bag fillers also included conveyors for transferring empty pallets to the filling station and loaded pallets to the downstream bag closing station. Two conveyors will also be fitted to the bulk bag closing station and filled pallet accumulator to facilitate bag closing and to accumulate filled pallets for removal by fork lift.
