THE Posired 2 range from PIV Drives of Germany, part of Brevini Power Transmissions, is now available from Brevini Australia Pty Ltd .
Available as one to four-stage helical gears, two to four-stage bevel helical gears and three and four-stage compact gears in 23 frame sizes, these units are ideal for use in conveyor drive applications.
Characterised by their robust construction, Posired 2 units are manufactured with a high degree of standardisation to shorten production lead times and provide flexibility when designing custom-made solutions to users' drive needs.
Configurations include horizontal, vertical and upright designs, with attachment on all six casing surfaces. Spiral bevel spur gears are available for compact, right angle drives and right angle drives are available with vertical driven shafts.
Units are also available with output shaft as solid, flanged, or hollow with key or shrink disc. They can also supplied with motor bell housing, with base plate for the motor and drive unit, with back stop, with auxiliary drive, with overriding clutch and with flange for output side attachments.
Rigid flanged connection couplings are a standard option.
Output torques range from 1,000 to 800,000 Nm. Helical gears are case hardened and ground, while spiral bevel gears are hardened and lapped or ground.
Gear wheels and roller bearings are oil-bathed as standard. The standard injection lubrication systems can be supplied with optional shaft of motor driven pump.
Cooling options include mechanical or electrical fan cooling, cooling oil or external oil cooler with oil/air or with oil/water heat exchanger.
Accessories available include diagnostic and monitoring systems for speed, torque, temperature, oil flow, oil level and other conditions.
