MICREL, represented by Braemac , has rolled out four new high-performance, low-dropout (LDO) regulators in the industry's smallest plastic packaging, the 2x2 MLF.
The MIC5219/47/52/55 series is part of Micrel's family of popular micropower LDOs aimed at a wide range of portable electronics applications.
The MIC5247/52/55 series offers 150mA output current capability, and low dropout of less than 150mV typical at full load. The MIC5219 offers 500mA continuous output current with only 300mV typical dropout.
The devices are the latest addition to Micrel's line of extremely small 2x2 MLF package regulators, many featuring uCap capability; a feature that allows for a choice of either ceramic or tantalum output capacitors.
Micrel, is a leading manufacturer of advanced, high performance communications, clock management, Ethernet switch and physical layer transceiver, mixed signal, analog and power ICs.
These products include devices for fibre-optic telecommunications and networking, cellular telephones, servers, portable computer systems, computer peripherals, process control systems, consumer electronics, and power supplies.
