Boscotek Industrial Storage
equipped the new Kia Motors technical training centre in Homebush, Sydney with a complete workshop storage and workbench solution.
Kia Motors’ impressive renovated automotive technical training centre is now Australia’s largest Kia training facility. With the ability to facilitate up to 16 students, the centre is used to teach Kia mechanics everything from hybrid transmission servicing to suspension system maintenance for a wide range of vehicles.
Boscotek supplied a range of industrial workshop storage products and workbenches to the Kia Motors Technical Training Centre, which was recently expanded and redesigned to offer a more practical and efficient workshop environment.
The Boscotek sales and design teams worked closely with Kia Motors to ensure all their requirements were met to specification.
Boscotek‘s industrial storage products installed within the technical training workshop include red high density drawer storage workstations, which function as hubs for the workshop students and incorporate various height drawers, stainless steel bench tops and above bench adjustable shelving with full length power panels and data outlets.
Students work from laptops in these organised and clean workstations while having direct access to tools and equipment from nearby drawers and manuals and documentation from the adjustable shelving. Adjoining high density industrial storage cupboards were also customised with rear access holes to allow for concealed wall mounting of air hose reels.
Additionally, mobile heavy duty workbenches with stainless steel wet edges were supplied for a flexible and durable solution for working on metal parts in a dynamic classroom environment. Four swivel braking castors keep the workbenches locked into position while in use with the wet edge preventing liquids from spilling over.
Personnel at the Kia Motors Technical Training Centre have been extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of Boscotek’s storage and workbench solutions.
