Rexroth has enhanced the functionality of its IndraDrive Cs servo line by adding Safe Torque Off (STO) functions, along with Safe Brake Control (SBC).
The compact family of drives is targeted at the performance range between 0.1 kW and 9 kW. The drives’ Multi-Ethernet communications port is designed to deliver extensive functionality in a small footprint.
The servo line meets the requirements of Cat 4 PL e as defined in EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 as defined in EN 62061.
When the STO function is activated, the drives immediately cut off the current which generates the torque and field in the motor.
SBC is activated in the drives when the STO function is accessed. SBC activates the motor's holding brake, providing an additional mechanical block to prevent the motor from starting.
This compact, low-cost member of the IndraDrive servo family offers servo functionality for most servo drive applications.
