AFTER masterminding 21 acquisitions of various crane hire companies across Australia in just over five years, the CEO of Boom Logistics , Rod Harmon, has announced his retirement effective 30 June 2007. Harmon has decided to pursue activities in the IT industry. Boom Logistics had its origins in Perth and started as a result of the joining together of three Perth based companies, with a then annual revenue of around $10 million. The 48-year old Rod Harmon joined the company as CEO and took Boom on a journey of sustained growth. For the year ending June 2006, Boom’s annual operating revenue was $253.8 million.
